In 2021, the collaboration event between Pokemon GO and Pokemon Air Adventures got postponed indefinitely due to the pandemic situation. After a year-long delay, the Pokemon Air Adventures collaboration event will finally be held in May 2022. Here are all the details 

Pokemon GO: Wild Pokemon Encounters

Pokemon GO trainers will be able to find Pikachu wearing an Okinawa Kariyushi shirt around the Okinawa area in Japan. Trainers will find this special Pikachu as wild encounters from Saturday 19th March. Moreover, they will be able to find this version of Pikachu for over a year. Apart from finding Pikachu wearing an Okinawa Kariyushi shirt, they can also find Corsola in wild encounters. In Japan, Corsola can be found only in some areas, including Okinawa. If trainers are lucky, they can also find the Shiny variants of these two Pokemons.

Pokemon GO x Pokemon Air Adventures Global Collaboration Event

Pokemon GO trainers from across the world will be to take part in the Pokemon GO x Pokemon Air Adventures collaboration event. This event will be held for 5 days, starting from 3rd till 8th May 2022. During this collaboration event, Flying Pikachu with differently colored balloons will be appearing in all areas around Okinawa. Trainers can also take part in a unique experience by attending the special ticketed event that will take place in Okinawa from Saturday 7th  May till Sunday 8th May.

Special Pokemon Air Adventures Global Collaboration Event: Poke Stops

In Okinawa, Japan, trainers will be able to discover new Poke Stops at Poke Lids, along with various popular Okinawan tourist locations. Poke Lids are special Pokemon-themed maintenance-hole covers. The gifts at these Poke Stops will include in-game Postcard illustrations for Pokemons that are not available anywhere else. Players can take advantage of this event to get as many new Pokemon postcards as possible.
