The event is also being held to generate funds for a good cause, in this case, the Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital in London, which has a replica in "Winter World."

Fundraising and video games are frequently linked. Earlier this year, a gaming charity in the United Kingdom raised about $85,000 for a variety of worthwhile organisations around the country.
