Ubisoft has published a new teaser to get you in the mood for the upcoming release of the first-person shooter Far Cry 6, which we'd like to show you right now. The focus is on the character Antón Castillo, who also appears in the action game as the villain.
You can expect a combination of gameplay and live-action moments in the trailer, with you playing as Antón Castillo, played by Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, The Jungle Book). To be more specific, he gives you a more in-depth introduction to this character before smoothly transitioning into the game. It's evident that cherries aren't a good idea to consume when you're dealing with this scumbag.
Actual gameplay scenes give you a taste of what you can expect from Far Cry 6. You play as ex-military Dani Rojas, who has joined a revolutionary group called "Libertad" in this first-person shooter. On the fictional island of Yara, this has assigned itself the job of overthrowing Antón Castillo and his rule. The villain will go to any length to restore the devastated nation to its former splendour. Those who do not unconditionally support Castillo's vision will face violence.
The trailer's gameplay samples also reveal which settings are accessible in Far Cry 6. This includes everything from crafting your own weapons to interacting with animals. In fact, the armoury of weapons includes both traditional calibres and bizarre in-house creations like a minigun driven by a motorcycle engine or a backpack loaded with homing missiles. Far Cry 6 will be available on PC and consoles on October 7, 2021.
