Nintendo has announced that the Nintendo Switch Online service will be getting another classic Rare Nintendo 64 platformer, Banjo-Tooie, which will be coming on 25th October, 2024. Subscribers of Nintendo Switch Online get access to a wide variety of games, with an even larger library available for those who upgrade to the Expansion Pack tier. Nintendo has been maintaining this tier by adding new games every month, with Banjo-Tooie being the next title joining the service.

After years of being an Xbox-only game, many players were happy to see Rare's bear and bird on Nintendo's platform when Banjo-Kazooie was released on the Nintendo Switch Online service in 2022. Since then, the service has also included some of Rare's N64 games, such as Perfect Dark and Goldeneye 007, among others. Many fans anticipated the inclusion of additional iconic Rareware games, such as Conker's Bad Fur Day and Banjo-Tooie.

In a surprise announcement, it was revealed that Banjo-Kazooie's sequel will be added to NSO on 25th October, 2024. Nintendo's new trailer for Banjo-Tooie highlights how the villainous Gruntilda is back after her defeat at the end of Banjo-Kazooie, now a skeletal witch. The trailer also shines a spotlight on the many characters that Banjo and Kazooie will meet in the game, along with the new gameplay mechanics, such as Kazooie splitting off from Banjo. Other things like the new transformations provided by Huma Wumba and cutscenes from the game were shown off in this trailer as well.

When Will Banjo-Tooie Be Available Online For The Nintendo Switch?

Banjo-Tooie, the follow-up to Banjo-Kazooie, is regarded as being far larger than its predecessor in terms of the world's scale, with various physical connections between the characters. With more intricate puzzles and about the same quantity of collectible objects as Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie is still the same collect-a-thon as its predecessor. Players can battle in a deathmatch-style game in Banjo-Tooie's multiplayer mode.

All things considered, Banjo-Tooie is regarded as one of the greatest platformers available on the Nintendo 64; nevertheless, enthusiasts disagree over whether it is superior to its predecessor. In any case, a lot of people are happy to see Banjo-Tooie back on Nintendo devices. Since its initial N64 release in 2000, Tooie has not been released on a Nintendo system for almost 24 years, until the NSO port. Many people are expecting that Donkey Kong 64 and Conker's Bad Fur Day would soon join Switch as well, because Banjo-Tooie is currently available on the NSO service.
