An offline Dota 2 competition called the International 12 is happening at Copenhagen's Royal Arena. The competition, which is being organized by Valve and PGL, began on September 4, 2024, and will end on September 15, 2024. There are sixteen teams competing in this sport.Let's review the specifics of this contest.

Format

Ten teams from regional qualifiers and six invited teams make up the participation count.There are two teams each from South America, Southeast Asia, China, and Western Europe. North America and Eastern Europe each have one team.

The event's group stage was scheduled for September 4–5, 2024. Each of the four groups consisted of four teams. A best-of-two series format was used for all games.For the purpose of seeding matches, the top two teams in each group played against a team from the third or fourth-placed teams in the opposing group (A vs. B and C vs. D).

The dates of the Seeding Decider stage were September 6–7, 2024. Eight head-to-head best-of-three series matchups amongst sixteen teams decided the main event bracket placement.

The main event (playoffs) will take place from September 8–10, 2024, and the finals will take place from September 13–15, 2024.

There will be 16 teams competing in a double-elimination format. There will be eight teams in the Lower Bracket and eight in the Upper Bracket to start. All other matches will be played in best-of-three series, with the Grand Final being a best-of-five series.

Winning team will receive $1,097,027 in prize money.
The group that finishes in second place will get $341,302.
The squad in third place will receive $219,365.
The winner in position four will receive $146,244.
