According to a corporate spokesman, Bethesda did not purposefully limit the awards on the last page of the most recent Fallout 76 Scoreboard. Although the newly discovered flaw hasn't been patched just yet, Fallout 76 fans who were upset about the ostensibly inadvertent modifications will find some solace in this clarification.

Skyline Valley, Season 17 of Fallout 76, debuted on 12th  June. In addition to adding more territory to the game's continent of Appalachia than before, the most recent update also brought in a new Scoreboard—the second one since Fallout 76 switched to a seasonal advancement system akin to a battle pass. However, as one player who chose to purchase ranks in order to speed through the new battle pass soon found out, 30% of the rewards on the Season 17 Scoreboard's last page are only redeemable once. The fan base was somewhat critical of Bethesda as a result of their discovery, particularly since it wasn't made clear beforehand that the awards were not repeatable and could only be discovered upon reaching the bonus page at rank 150.

Bethesda is "looking into" repairing Fallout 76 Season 17 Scoreboard's Bonus Page

It turns out that implementation, not transparency, is the problem with this state of affairs. One of the moderators on the official Bethesda Game Studios Discord server, LunarNeko, says as much. LunarNeko addressed a fan's grievance on the Fallout 76 Season 17 Scoreboard dispute by stating that it is a "known issue" that the team began investigating on 13th June, ET. A timeframe for when players might anticipate a repair was not given by the company representative.

For the time being, any bonus bundle containing Legendary Modules, Legendary Cores, and Perk Coins is only eligible once. The great majority of players presumably still don't seem to be affected by this, as there wasn't enough time, at least not in normal play, to finish the Fallout 76 Season 17 Scoreboard. Conversely, after four days of Skyline Valley's publication, the only method to get to the last page is to purchase ranks.

This season onwards, you can buy ranks above 100, all the way up to the 150th rank, which opens the final Scoreboard page. It looks that this specific modification was done on purpose, especially considering that certain Fallout 76 players have been requesting it ever since the battle pass-like system was introduced back in March 2024. Simultaneously, some other fans described the increased rank purchase limit as more proof that the new Scoreboard was purposefully designed to be difficult in order to encourage buying. For its part, Bethesda has previously stated that, in terms of S.C.O.R.E., it takes the same amount of time to achieve rank 100, the last step that incorporates new cosmetics. All that is available on the bonus page is money and other farmable resources.

In addition to these seemingly accidental adjustments to the Scoreboard, other player grievances were also raised by the 12th June update. Fans of Fallout 76 have lately voiced their disapproval of the new Season 17 event, Dangerous Pastimes, calling it both uninteresting and unsatisfactory.
