Additional adjustments to Bethesda's Fallout 76 Scoreboard system include the removal of some of the awards from the game's final page. Even though the changes were performed covertly, the Fallout 76 community immediately noticed them and has since been the subject of some harsh player criticism.

With the release of Season 16, Duel with the Devil, the live-service role-playing game updated its outdated Scoreboard system. The season ran from late March until June 12. With this change, the previous linear Scoreboard was replaced by a multi-page battle pass-style system that let players select which rewards to use. Fallout 76's Season 16 Scoreboard proved to be a contentious addition for a number of reasons, one of which being that it made the game much more difficult for players that wanted to collect every seasonal award.

The Fallout 76 Season 17 Scoreboard Offers Less Recurring Prizes

Though it adds a few noteworthy adjustments that Bethesda seems to have quietly implemented, the Fallout 76 Season 17 Scoreboard sticks to the same design ethos. One of these has to do with the items on its last page, which resemble those of Season 16 in that they are primarily concerned with providing useful rewards like Lunchboxes and Perk Coins. As was the case last season, it turns out that not all of these awards are eligible for repeated claims. The bundles including Legendary Cores, Legendary Modules, and Perk Coins are only claimable once, as Reddit user tauhrashul originally noticed.

The fact that Bethesda is being evasive about this modification has been criticized by numerous people who have commented on it. This change may have been made in an effort to balance the Fallout 76 seasonal reward system. The game delivers the final page prizes the same way it did in Season 16, disregarding the fact that not all of them are repeatable. Reaching level 150 is the only way to naturally discover which rewards are infinitely available and which aren't.

Gamers Of Fallout 76 Can Now Pay To Bypass The Scoreboard Grind And Reach Rank 150

That being said, the second modification to the Season 17 Scoreboard that fans have noticed is that you may now purchase up to 150 Fallout 76 S.C.O.R.E. ranks. Previously, the Scoreboard could only be purchased in increments of 100. With this change, players can now choose to pay to bypass the whole Season 17 grind.

Although several players have been requesting this option since the previous season, not everyone seems to be happy about its recent discovery. Conversely, other fans contend that the modification is more proof of the predatory character of the Scoreboard-like battle pass, which they believe exists purely to increase the game's income generation. To put things in perspective, Bethesda is now allowing players to skip the whole Season 17 grind for the equivalent of $180. S.C.O.R.E. rank skips are priced at 150 Atoms each.
