A few 4-Stars are still noticeably absent from the whole list of characters that Genshin Impact has disclosed will be seen on the Event Banners in the first part of Version 4.7. Three new characters are being added to Genshin Impact in Version 4.7, but there will also be a rerun of two significant 5-Stars. Alhaitham is regarded as one of the greatest Hyperbloom troops in the entire game, while Furina is also a significant player in the current meta. In the first half of Version 4.7, Alhaitham is anticipated to appear with Clorinde on the Event Banners, while Furina and Sigewinne will follow in the second half.
But there was a lot of conjecture surrounding the 4-Star characters in Genshin Impact who will be travelling with Alhaitham and Clorinde. With Kaveh having not appeared on an event banner since his debut more than a year ago and Chevreuse's absence from Arlecchino's banner suggesting that she would instead appear on Clorinde's banner because of her role as a healer that lets Overload teams shine, these two names were the talk of the town.
It appears that HoYoverse has chosen to take a new approach for Version 4.7, since Thoma and Bennett will be joining Sethos in the first half, with the latter making his third appearance since Fontaine's release. An honest response would be that the 4-Stars and Clorinde and Alhaitham don't work very well together. Bennett's buff is meaningless because Sethos is an Electro hyper carry and Clorinde's passive has a low ATK cap. Although Alhaitham from Genshin Impact can be utilised in Burgeon teams alongside Thoma, the Dendro 5-Star configuration is far from optimal.
First Half Characters of Genshin Impact Version 4.7:
Clorinde – five-Star Electro Sword
AlHaitham – five-Star Dendro Sword
Bennett – four-Star Pyro Sword
Thoma – four-Star Pyro Polearm
Sethos – four-Star Electro Bow
Players are already divided over HoYoverse's selection of 4-Stars for Version 4.7; many are concerned that Genshin Impact will replace the newly added 4-Stars with outdated troops from Version 1.0 instead of utilising the newly introduced 4-Stars. Apart from Charlotte for Furina, Chevreuse is maybe one of the most successful 4-Stars of the Fontaine era, hence many players find it annoying that she hasn't been matched with either of the two Overload characters in Genshin Impact.
Clorinde supports Aggravate as an Elemental Reaction as well, however her banner lacks any synergy, as is indicated by the absence of any Dendro 4-Stars. Similar to the character banner, the weapon banner only has one special 4-Star weapon—the Lithic Spear—and is therefore an equally perplexing choice given that no Liyue characters are present. Nevertheless, Clorinde's signature weapon in Genshin Impact is a worthwhile purchase, and even if players choose to use the Light of Foliar Incision instead, it still ranks as Clorinde's second-best choice.
