An imaginative fan of Animal Crossing has offered their vision for the appearance of Shrek characters as villagers in the game. The models are excellent at capturing the appearance of well-known characters in a way that makes them feel like they would truly show up in an Animal Crossing game.
Because Animal Crossing: New Horizons was so very popular during the COVID-19 epidemic, Animal Crossing has more admirers than ever. During the shutdowns, the game provided a social and passable way for people to pass the time. It sold extraordinarily well. Though updates for Animal Crossing: fresh Horizons have ended, many players are still excitedly playing the game and coming up with fresh ideas, proving that the game has enduring appeal as well.
Fans of Animal Crossing and Shrek, known as JuniperCrossings, submitted their recreations of Donkey, Fiona, and Shrek—three of the most recognizable characters from the franchise. These people are created by assembling elements from different existing villagers, according to JuniperCrossings, which probably explains why they blend in with Animal Crossing's aesthetic so nicely.
Though a little happier than one might anticipate from the ogre, Shrek appears flawless. Despite having his distinctive attire and ears, he looks as though he was created using a pig villager as the base. Fiona is a village cat dressed in a green garment that mimics her princess attire. Her crown and braid are identical to those from the previous movie. The last character is Donkey, who seems exactly like in the movie despite donning a gray sweater. This fan has previously shown off an ogre version of Fiona in addition to other characters they have built from the Shrek films.
The recreations have drawn a lot of praise from fans in the comments, with some even wishing that they could customise villages in-game. Many people have asked JuniperCrossings to recreate Puss in Boots, who has become more well-known recently as a result of the fantastic animated movie Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. As JuniperCrossings has stated that they will work on it, fans may have something to look forward to soon.
What Happens To Animal Crossing Next?
Even while such a crossover is unlikely to occur in the real games, more customization options may be included in later Animal Crossing games. Although there isn't a new Animal Crossing game out yet, the same production team appears to be finishing off Splatoon 3 so it's likely that they will come back to work on one in the future. The crew will need to come up with something even bigger than Animal Crossing: New Horizons because the game was such a huge smash.
