Recently, during their most recent playthrough of Fallout 4, a player learned that Super Mutants are attacking Diamond City. The vast open environment and dynamic events of Bethesda Softworks' Fallout 4 are well-known, but this most recent development has taken many by surprise. Players are continually exploring and discovering new parts of the game years after its release, which keeps the community active and passionate.

Since its 2015 release, Fallout 4 has been a hit with players, and it still gets updates and has a strong player base. Fallout 4's second next-generation update, which addressed problems with the game's first next-generation patch that drew mixed reviews, has recently garnered accolades for its enhanced graphics and performance on PS5 and Xbox systems.

The unexpected event during their fourth playtime of the game was reported by user Rich_Confusion_676 on Reddit, which is where the news of Super Mutants raiding Diamond City first surfaced. A handful of Super Mutants are shown in the Fallout 4 gameplay screenshot preparing to attack the player. Because of a mod that increased the size and added rankings to the Super Mutants, the player can track them across the city. As a result, the Super Mutants manage to overwhelm the city's security and gain entry via the city gates.

Gamers previously posted pictures of an odd glitch that turned Diamond City in Fallout 4 into a hellscape with flames in the sky. Despite having a spectacular look, this bug did not negatively affect gameplay as much as the current Super Mutant invasion, which directly jeopardizes the player's progress through the game. Several Fallout 4 players have reported on Reddit that they have come across Super Mutants in different parts of the game. A number of them even criticized Diamond City's bad layout, saying that it ought to expand and cover more ground in order to strengthen the defenses around the city's center.

Players have also found strange in-game items, such as a house full of cats in the Hawthorne Residence in Fallout 4, which add to the oddities of Diamond City. A player who gained entry to the house by lockpicking discovered this hidden element, which included several cats and cat-themed décor.

It's interesting to note that, even nine years after the game's release, people still uncover new features. A little-known VATS function in Fallout 4 that lets you free-aim by holding down the VATS button was recently found by a gamer. The community has embraced and widely disseminated this revelation.
