Intel Extreme Masters Chengdu 2024 is an offline Counter-Strike 2 tournament, taking place in Wuliangye Chengdu Performing Arts Centre, Chengdu. Organized by ESL and VSPO , this tournament boasts a prize pool of $250,000 USD. It will commence on 8th April 2024 and will conclude on 14th April 2024. Total 16 teams are participating in this tournament. Let us examine this tournament's specifics.

Intel Extreme Masters Chengdu 2024 Format

In the group stage, there will be two double-elimination format (GSL) groups. Each group will have eight teams. A best-of-one series format will be used for the opening matches. Rest of the matches will be played in best of three series. 

Each group's top three teams will move on to the playoffs.. Group stage winners will advance to the Semifinals. The runners-up from the group stage will go as the High Seeds to the quarterfinals. Third-place teams from the group stage will play as the Low Seeds in the quarterfinals.

Playoffs will be held in single-elimination bracket and all matches will be played in best of three series.

Group stage 

  • In Group A Upper Bracket Semifinals, G2 Esports equalled with Team Liquid with a 1 - 1 score and FURIA Esports will play against MOUZ.
  • In Group B Upper Bracket Semifinals, FaZe Clan will compete against Astralis and FlyQuest will play against Virtus.pro.

Prize Pool

  • The event boasts a total prize pool of $250,000 USD, with the distribution as follows:
  • The champion will be awarded $100,000 and will qualify to IEM Cologne 2024.
  • The second-place team will receive $42,000.
  • The third and fourth place holders will take home $20,000 each.
  • The fifth and sixth place finisher will be rewarded with $10,000 each.
  • The seventh and eighth position holders will  receive $6,000 each.
  • The ninth to twelfth place holders will take home $5,000 each.
  • The thirteenth to sixteenth place holders will be rewarded with $4,000 each.
