In a surprising twist in the League of Legends (LoL) community, footwear giant Crocs has announced a groundbreaking partnership with the renowned esports organization, 100 Thieves. This collaboration comes hot on the heels of a recent incident during the LCS Spring Split that left fans buzzing with speculation.

Last week, the LCS scene was rocked when 100 Thieves’ top-laner, Rayan “Sniper” Shoura, made a bold fashion statement by donning a pair of Crocs during a crucial match. However, this act breached Riot Games'strict dress code, resulting in Sniper being slapped with a hefty $5,000 fine. Yet, in a remarkable turn of events, Crocs opted to not only cover the fine but also forge an official partnership with 100 Thieves.

The incident, reminiscent of a similar disruption during the 2022 Worlds, where Evil Geniuses’ mid-laner caused a delay by wearing Crocs on stage, stirred up quite the controversy. Nevertheless, rather than facing further penalties, 100 Thieves seized the opportunity to solidify their association with the iconic footwear brand.

Under Riot's regulations, players are required to adhere to a dress code mandating pants, closed-toe shoes, and team-branded attire. Sniper’s unconventional choice of footwear clearly deviated from these guidelines, yet it sparked a wave of intrigue among fans and industry insiders alike.

Following the announcement of their partnership, Crocs wasted no time in demonstrating their commitment to the collaboration. Not only did they cover Sniper's fine, but they also extended their generosity to LoL enthusiasts by gifting ten pairs of their signature footwear to lucky fans across the United States.
