Complexity's original founder, Jason Lake, has spearheaded an investor consortium to repurchase the organization for a staggering sum exceeding $10 million.

The acquisition, finalized at $10.36 million, marks a pivotal moment as Lake regains control over Complexity, securing its assets and intellectual property, including a formidable array of esports teams spanning popular titles such as Apex Legends, Counter-Strike 2, FIFA, Fortnite, Hearthstone, Madden, Magic: The Gathering Arena, Rocket League, and VALORANT.

"This marks an extraordinary milestone in Complexity's journey, presenting us with an exhilarating opportunity," expressed Lake in an official statement. "It's time to embark on the next chapter of our storied legacy, and I am confident that our dedicated fanbase will revel in the adventures that lie ahead."

With Complexity back in Lake's hands, the path is now clear for GameSquare to finalize its anticipated acquisition of FaZe Clan. Notably, regulations within various esports leagues restrict ownership of multiple organizations concurrently, prompting GameSquare to divest Complexity to pave the way for the FaZe deal.

"Upon the imminent closure of the FaZe acquisition, anticipated in the forthcoming weeks, we eagerly anticipate replicating the triumphs we've experienced with Complexity within the FaZe ecosystem," affirmed GameSquare CEO, Justin Kenna.

Lake has further disclosed plans to engage with the community through a live-streamed Q&A session, offering insights into the future trajectory of Complexity under his stewardship.

The resounding acquisition underscores Complexity's enduring legacy and Jason Lake's unwavering commitment to driving innovation and success within the esports landscape. As the industry continues to evolve, all eyes are now set on the dynamic transformations poised to unfold with Complexity under its visionary founder's guidance.
