Astralis, the Danish esports powerhouse, has made a few changes to its Counter-Strike 2 roster. The organization has decied to reintroduce Alexander “br0” Bro, a former player, alongside transitioning dev1ce to the role of in-game leader (IGL.

Following the benching of BlameF and the departure of their CS2 coach, Astralis wasted no time in orchestrating their roster overhaul. The acquisition of br0 marks his triumphant return to the Astralis fold after an eight-month stint with the international squad. However, contrary to expectations, br0 will not inherit the role of IGL vacated by BlameF. Instead, the team's renowned AWPer, dev1ce, will assume the mantle of leadership, a strategic maneuver aimed at optimizing team synergy.

Kasper Straube, the sports director of Astralis, expressed confidence in br0's ability to seamlessly integrate into the team, emphasizing his capacity to create space for his teammates and complement their gameplay styles.

Dev1ce's transition to the IGL role signifies a pivotal moment in Astralis' strategic evolution. Despite his established prowess as a sharpshooter, dev1ce reveals his prior experience in shot-calling, positioning himself as a natural fit for the leadership role. His assertion of being the secondary caller in previous setups further validates his readiness to embrace this new responsibility.

The sweeping roster changes come on the heels of Astralis' disappointing performance in the PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major qualifiers. Failing to secure a spot in the prestigious tournament served as a catalyst for the organization's proactive restructuring efforts. With the addition of br0 and the appointment of a new coach, ruggah, Astralis aims to reclaim its dominance in the competitive CS2 circuit.
