Karmine Corp is gearing up for a transformative journey in the upcoming 2024 Spring Split, unveiling a revamped coaching lineup to bounce back from a challenging Winter Split.

In the wake of a 2-7 performance in the Winter Split, Karmine Corp's LEC team is bidding farewell to Jakob “YamatoCannon” Mebdi, the former head coach. The reins are set to pass to Rehareha “Reha” Ramanana, the team's current assistant coach, in a move confirmed by the organization

Reha, a stalwart within Karmine Corp since 2020, previously held the position of head coach for the League of Legends team throughout 2023. This strategic shift aims to bring a fresh perspective to the team, addressing the challenges faced during the previous split.

The decision to alter coaching leadership comes on the heels of a disappointing Winter Split for KC, culminating in a seven-game losing streak. Fans, however, noted the limited time YamatoCannon had to work with the team, with visible improvements only surfacing towards the end of the regular season.

In a recent interview with Dot Esports, YamatoCannon reflected on the demanding regular season, characterized by best-of-ones and adapting to a new patch. Despite emphasizing the need for a quick rebound after the team's first week, the desired results were achieved only after the playoffs dream had faded away.

Karmine Corp, with a massive following and a storied history in the LFL and EMEA Masters, made a resounding entry into the LEC, marked by record-breaking viewership and fervent fan support. The team's LEC debut at the new Berlin Riot Games Arena was nothing short of spectacular.

The shift from YamatoCannon to Reha signifies not just a change in leadership but a strategic move to rejuvenate the team's performance. As the Winter Split Playoffs approach, all eyes are on Karmine Corp, eager to witness the unfolding of a new chapter in their competitive journey.
