Riot Games developers are gearing up to revolutionize the League of Legends (LoL) experience. The devs are addressing the community's long-standing concerns surrounding toxicity, smurfing, and the plight of hard-stuck players in ranked matches.

Recently, Riot's League team asked the community's most pressing questions regarding the game's current state. In response, August "Iksar" Ayala shed light on the comprehensive plan in the pipeline. The team has been diligently working over the past few weeks, addressing key issues like better initial placement across all queues, enhanced smurf detection, and a vigilant eye on the unfolding drama in ranked games.

In a move to foster fairness, Riot has significantly improved the initial placement system in ranked matches. Iksar emphasizes the importance of players engaging with others at their skill level. The days of low-elo players unexpectedly thrown into high-elo games are seemingly numbered, with Riot taking responsibility for ensuring a more balanced gaming environment.

The battle against accounts created with malicious intent continues. Riot is actively developing an automated system designed to target new accounts crafted for the sole purpose of wreaking havoc. While existing tools are in place, Iksar acknowledges the need for speedier and more efficient detection mechanisms to curb this persistent issue.

While not an immediate priority, Riot is examining the impact of duo queues, contemplating their inclusion in Masters queue and below. Additionally, the team is addressing the perception that the only escape from a hard-stuck account is to start anew. Riot aims to challenge this notion and is exploring solutions to reshape the narrative surrounding account stagnation.
