The recent BLAST.tv Paris Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) Major has not only marked the end of an era with the migration to Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) but has also shattered records in sticker sales, amassing a staggering $110 million.

CS:GO History Made: BLAST Paris Major Rockets Past $110M in Sticker Revenue

HLTV and Dust2 Brasil’s joint report unveils that the Paris Major's sticker and capsule sales outshine the cumulative figures of the preceding three Majors. The revenue distribution is meticulously tied to the capsules, categorizing 24 teams into three groups representing Legends, Challengers, and Contenders qualifications.

Surprisingly, the Contenders capsule, boasting teams like Liquid and FaZe, emerges as the top-seller, raking in approximately $4.5 million per team and an additional $250,000 per player. The Legends capsule, featuring heavyweights NAVI, FURIA, Fnatic, and champions Vitality, secures the second spot, fetching $3.5 million per team and $200,000 per player. Meanwhile, the Challengers capsule, showcasing G2 and NiP, clinches $2.6 million per team and $200,000 per player.

This unprecedented financial success of BLAST Paris stands in stark contrast to its predecessors. StarLadder Major Berlin's payout of just over $11 million and the combined $70 million from the PGL Stockholm and Antwerp Majors pale in comparison. The synergy of the Major break and Counter-Strike's surge in popularity during the COVID pandemic couldn't match the monumental achievement of BLAST Paris.

Beyond the mere financial triumph, the event saw CS:GO's monthly player average reach its pinnacle in May 2023 when the stickers hit the market. The enthusiasm lingered, sustaining significantly elevated player counts through September, showcasing the profound impact of purchasable sticker capsules on the community.
