Commencing from 9th to 30th January, the crossover will immerse the Outlands in a spellbinding atmosphere, introducing a total of 36 event items. The anticipation, heightened since the initial announcement at The Game Awards on 7th December, has further increased with more details emerging, including the all-important Final Fantasy sword.

The Final Fantasy Buster Sword Universal Heirloom

This event promises to fulfill every fantasy with the introduction of the Buster Sword. This monumental weapon comes in two forms: as a ground loot and a care package item in the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Takeover Limited Time Mode or as a groundbreaking universal Heirloom.

A groundbreaking first for Apex Legends, this universal Heirloom can be equipped to any legend. Though serving as a cosmetic with no additional abilities when equipped, it adds a unique touch to your character during the event. Notably, it won't be found in the Mythic Store, making it an exclusive gem during this limited period.

The Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Takeover LTM

This event also brings all-new Limited Time Mode, seamlessly blending iconic features from Apex Legends and Final Fantasy. To progress in this mode, players must strategically fill their Limit Break meter by dealing, taking, and blocking damage using the Buster Sword R2R5, a weaponized version of the Buster Sword heirloom available as loot.

As players seek the sword, the quest involves discovering Materia hop-ups, mirroring Final Fantasy VII mechanics. These hop-ups, available in blue, green, purple, red, and yellow, provide various boosts such as healing, shockwaves on reloading, random critical hits, summoning Nessies, and revealing enemy health bars. Brace yourself for an exhilarating gameplay experience, including the unconventional summoning of Nessies as damage-dealing allies.

Apex x Final Fantasy Skins and Stickers

Six stunning legend skins are all set to grace Apex Legends during this crossover event, offering customization options for Horizon, Wraith, Crypto, Wattson, Valkyrie, and Newcastle. Notably, Wattson's pink Kupo Power skin has already become a standout favorite among gamers.

These skins will be accessible through event packs and can be acquired for 2,150 coins in the Apex store. Complementing these legendary skins are corresponding weapon skins, a customary feature in Apex events. Additionally, don't miss out on the exclusive Twitch drop stickers featuring Crypto, Wraith, Horizon, and Wattson. Tune into select Apex streams from Jan. 12 to 24 to collect Crypto and Wraith stickers, and from Jan. 21 to 30 for Horizon and Wattson stickers.

Event Currency and Rewards Shop

Mirroring Final Fantasy's primary currency, "Gil," players can amass this event-exclusive currency by engaging in the LTM and completing challenges. This accumulated wealth can then be exchanged in the rewards shop for a plethora of enticing items.

As the highly anticipated Apex Legends collaboration with Final Fantasy approaches, gear up for a gaming spectacle like never before. The Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Takeover awaits from Jan 9 to 30, promising an extra dose of magic for all avid gamers.
