In a surprising turn of events, North American Dota 2 team nouns has disbanded its roster, following their remarkable performance at The International 2023 (TI12). Nouns’ Dota 2 journey has drawn to a close after an impressive top-eight finish at TI 2023, a run that had raised hopes and expectations. Many in the community had believed that the team would continue together, especially after David "Moo" Hull had dropped hints about his search for a new team, leading to speculations about a potential roster change.

However, nouns' subsequent announcement shattered those hopes. The departure included Héctor "K1" Rodríguez, Nicolas "Gunnar" Lopez, Rodrigo "Lelis" Santos, Luke "Yamsun" Wang, and David "Moo" Hull, all deciding to go their separate ways.

The uncertainty in the Dota 2 scene, with the absence of the Dota Pro Circuit, has left teams and organizations worldwide in a state of preparation for the unknown. This uncertainty may have played a significant role in the nouns players' collective decision, despite their successful season.

Notably, nouns wasn't the only team to disband after TI 2023. The North American and South American teams saw a mediocre performance in the event, which led to teams like Beastcoast to also undergo a roster change. As organizations take a step back and rosters evaluate their options, the possibility of super teams emerging from these two regions looms large.

To contend with the rising European competition, the top-performing players from North America and South America may choose to stick together or consider changing regions. Even though the Dota Pro Circuit is no longer in play, the first major tournament of the year is scheduled to take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in December, with a generous $1 million prize pool. This means that players are likely to be in a rush to secure a stable team in preparation for its qualifiers.
