Diablo 4 Patch 1.1 Brings Gameplay Changes, New Unique Items, and More

Following are all the major highlights of Diablo 4 Patch 1.1:

Gameplay Changes:

Patch 1.1 introduces a significant increase in difficulty for endgame players participating in Helltide events. The monsters in Helltide will now be three levels higher than the player, enhancing the risk-reward gameplay. Additionally, World Tier II players can enjoy increased bonus gold and a 15 percent boost in item drops, while completing Whispers in tiers III and IV rewards significantly more experience. However, players joining higher-tier dungeons with their friends will receive reduced experience, and killing higher-level monsters will also yield diminished experience gains.

Class-Specific Updates:

Each class in Diablo 4 receives new unique items and Legendary Aspects to enhance their gameplay experience. Barbarians can acquire the Azurewrath sword, capable of freezing enemies and dealing cold damage on lucky hits. They can also unlock the Ancestral Charge offensive Legendary Aspect, summoning four Ancients to aid in combat.

Druids gain the Fleshrender mace, inflicting damage on nearby poisoned enemies with Debilitating Roar and Blood Howl. The Subterranean offensive Legendary Aspect empowers Poison Creeper's active skill, increasing damage to poisoned enemies. Necromancers can equip the Lidless Wall shield, with a chance to spawn an additional Bone Storm after striking enemies. Their Gore Quills offensive Legendary Aspect enhances Blood Lance, consuming Blood Orbs to conjure lances and deal increased damage.

Rogues can wield the Eaglehorn bow, granting Penetrating Shot the ability to bounce off walls and make enemies vulnerable when hit from behind. The Pestilent Points offensive Legendary Aspect empowers Puncture, imbuing it with potent poison damage. Sorcerers have access to The Oculus wand, granting the Teleport Enchantment effect. The Searing Wards offensive Legendary Aspect enables Firewall to be cast for free after expending mana and destroys incoming small missiles.

Malignant Hearts: What are they?

Patch 1.1 introduces the Season of the Malignant, accompanied by the introduction of Malignant Hearts. These hearts drop from elite enemies with the Partly Corrupted status and can be placed in special Infested sockets, offering powerful bonuses similar to Legendary Aspects. Defeating stronger Malignant Creatures increases the strength of these hearts, allowing players to equip up to three at a time. Players can farm Hearts from the Malignant Tunnels, a replayable dungeon infested with Malignant.
