In a surprising twist at the ongoing Dreamleague Season 20 tournament, Tundra Esports, the reigning champions of The International 11 and considered among the world's top Dota 2 teams, has made changes to their lineup. The team currently sits atop the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Western Europe (WEU) Tour 3: Division I standings, but their quest for victory has been temporarily disrupted.
Tundra Esports’ Dota 2 Roster
Two stand-ins were initially brought in to fill the void left by Leon "Nine" Kirilin and Wu "Sneyking" Jingjun. Stanislav "Malr1ne" Potorak replaced Nine, while Aleksandr "Immersion" Khmelevskoi stepped in for Sneyking. However, recent developments, unveiled by Tundra's carry player, Oliver "Skiter" Lepko, during a post-match interview, have shed light on an impending change.
Skiter revealed that Sneyking, a valued member of the team, will be making his return to the roster on Day 2 of the tournament. Meanwhile, Martin "Saksa" Sazdov, an integral part of Tundra Esports, will be taking a leave of absence. This decision, although unexpected, speaks volumes about the team's dedication to maintaining their impressive performance and momentum following their success in the DPC WEU 2023 Tour 3: Division I.
Tundra Esports has encountered similar situations in the past, demonstrating their ability to adapt to challenges. During DreamLeague Season 19, Saksa faced burnout and was unable to compete, leading to the inclusion of Adam "Aramis" Moroz as a stand-in. Despite the setback, Tundra Esports showcased their resilience and teamwork, securing a commendable 4th place finish in the tournament.
As Tundra Esports continues their journey in DreamLeague Season 20, the return of Sneyking and the temporary absence of Saksa mark a significant shift in their lineup. Their success in the DPC and past experiences with stand-ins suggest that the team possesses the necessary adaptability and teamwork to navigate these changes effectively.

The Dreamleague Season 20 tournament serves as a platform for the team to showcase their resilience, strategic prowess, and ability to overcome adversity.
