In a highly anticipated VAL Classico showdown match between Global Esports (GE) and Velocity Gaming (VLT), Global Esports emerged triumphant with a resounding 2-0 victory. VAL Classico Showdown Global Esports vs Velocity Gaming: Recap

The match, held in a unique format, saw each team select a map while the opposing team chose the side. The battlegrounds for this high-stakes clash were Haven and Bind. A special moment of remembrance was observed at the start of each map, as both teams equipped themselves with a shorty pistol in tribute to the late Karel "Twisten" Ašenbrener, an esports athlete from Team Vitality's Valorant roster.

The battle commenced with GE opting for Haven as their chosen map, with VLT assuming the defensive position. The teams engaged in a closely contested skirmish, but it was GE who emerged victorious with a final score of 13-10. The momentum carried over to the second map, Bind, where VLT made their selection. However, GE displayed dominance throughout the game, securing a comfortable 13-5 win. Notably, Ganesh "SkRossi" Gangadhar of GE showcased exceptional performance, recording 43 kills, 26 deaths, and 9 assists. SkRossi's outstanding Average Combat Score (ACS) of 311 played a pivotal role in GE's triumph.

Representing Global Esports in this fierce clash were Bhavin "HellrangeR" Kotwani, Jayanth "skillZ" Ramesh, Akshay "KappA" Sinkar, Ganesh "SkRossi" Gangadhar, and Abhirup "Lightningfast" Choudhury. It is worth mentioning that both skillZ and SkRossi postponed their journey to Korea, where they were preparing for the Last Chance Qualifier, to participate in this significant show match.

On the opposing side, Velocity Gaming fielded a strong lineup consisting of Vibhor "Vibhor" Vaid, Debanjan "DEATHMAKER" Das, Karan "Excali" Mhaswadkar, Sagnik "Hellff" Roy, and Tejas "rite2ace" Sawant. However, the absence of Anuj "Amaterasu" Sharma and Sabyasachi "Antidote" Bose disappointed fans, with Bose unable to participate due to his team's ongoing commitment in Valorant Challengers 2023 (VCL): South Asia Split 2.

The clash between GE and VLT generated significant anticipation among fans, marking a long-awaited confrontation between these two formidable teams. Given GE's location in the Pacific region and VLT's disbandment, it is unlikely that these organizations will meet again in the near future in this title. Nonetheless, GE's commanding victory in the VAL Classico show match solidifies their position as a force to be reckoned with in the Indian Valorant Esports scene.
