In a stunning development, Velocity Gaming, one of South Asia's most renowned and highly regarded teams, has made the tough decision to part ways with its Indian Valorant players. This decision follows closely on the heels of the team bidding farewell to its international players, indicating a notable transformation within the organization.

Velocity Gaming To Undergo Operational Changes

The announcement comes as a surprise for all of its fans. However, the decision has been taken in light of Velocity Gaming's early departure from the Valorant Champion League (VCL) 2023: South Asia Split 2 tournament. Failing to advance beyond the group stage and secure a playoff berth has compelled the management to engage in deep introspection and reassessment of their strategies.

Expressing its gratitude and acknowledging the players' contributions, Velocity Gaming bid a fond farewell to Anuj "Amaterasu" Sharma, Debanjan "DEATHMAKER" Das, Karan "Excali" Mhaswadkar, and Sagnik "Hellff" Roy. These individuals have been instrumental in the team's journey and have played a pivotal role in establishing Velocity Gaming as a formidable force in the South Asian Valorant scene.

The organization credited the departing players as the true architects behind the team's remarkable legacy and expressed appreciation for their unwavering dedication. While the decision to disband the roster may be disheartening, Velocity Gaming remains hopeful for the players' future endeavors, wishing them success and fulfillment in their upcoming pursuits.

With a heavy heart, we bid a fond farewell to the remarkable Valorant Lineup. Our gratitude goes out to @AmaterasuAnuj , @officialhellff , @deathmakercs , and @ExcaliVLR for their unwavering dedication and for upholding the prestigious VLT Badge.

Notably, Amaterasu and Excali were among the founding members of Velocity Gaming's inaugural Valorant lineup. While Excali briefly departed the team in April 2021, he returned in November 2022. Hellff, another long standing member, joined the team in October 2020 and has been a consistent presence ever since. Deathmaker, on the other hand, joined Velocity Gaming in September 2021 and played a vital role in the team's success, establishing himself as one of the top duelists in South Asia.

With the dissolution of its Valorant roster, Velocity Gaming's future in the esports realm appears uncertain. Founder Manoj "Sentinel" Kasyup has hinted at potential downsizing and significant operational changes within the organization. As the team reevaluates its strategies and goals, fans and industry observers eagerly await updates on Velocity Gaming's future plans and their potential reentry into the competitive Valorant scene.
