Dota 2 players can rejoice as Valve released the latest patch, 7.33c, to address the community's concerns regarding the balance of the game. The patch brings significant nerfs to two prominent heroes, Medusa and Alchemist, who have been dominating the scene lately. Apart from hero adjustments, the patch also includes general changes and item tweaks, which will undoubtedly shake up the meta and offer new opportunities for players to explore.

Dota 2 Patch 7.33c Changes Highlight

Following are the changes coming to Dota 2 with patch 7.33c.

General Changes:

The patch introduces several general changes aimed at improving gameplay dynamics and addressing certain imbalances. One of the most significant changes is the alteration of the Wisdom Rune, which now provides experience to the lowest-level ally, along with the hero who picks it up. This change can lead to a more balanced distribution of experience among teams. In addition, stacking neutral camps now grants 30% of the experience and gold bounty, which is a significant increase from the previous patch.

Furthermore, the patch brings changes to the Tormentor shard, which can counter heroes like Enchantress who exploited its damage-reflect ability with long-range attacks using Impetus and Hurricane Pike. Heroes attacking the Tormentor will now be affected by its damage reflection regardless of their distance, preventing any potential exploits.

Hero Changes:

Patch 7.33c introduced significant hero changes, with the focus on nerfing Medusa and Alchemist, who were dominant at the Berlin Major and in pub games. Medusa's Mystic Snakes now have a longer cooldown at earlier levels, and her Mana Shield's Damage per Mana absorbed and Bonus Mana are both decreased. Alchemist's Unstable Concoction has a longer cooldown, and both Greevil's Greed Base Bonus and Extra Bonus Gold are decreased, while Chemical Rage movement speed is decreased for earlier levels.

Rikimaru's armor reduction from his Aghanims Shard and Blink Strike's base charge restore time are also slightly decreased. Nature's Prophet receives buffs with reduced cooldown on Teleportation, increased damage-providing stacks after using Teleportation, and slightly buffed Ultimate. Sniper and Spirit Breaker have received some slight buffs. Sniper's Take Aim skill now provides an additional 200 range when active. On the other hand, Spirit Breaker benefits from reduced mana costs on his Charge of Darkness ability, increased status resistance on Bulldoze, increased damage on Greater Bash, and a significantly reduced cooldown on his ultimate ability, Nether Strike.
