The qualified eight teams of the main stage of the MSI 2023 are GenG and T1 from the LoL Champions Korea (LCK), JD Gaming and Bilibili Gaming from the LoL Pro League (LPL), Mad Lions and G2 Esports from the LoL EMEA Championship (LEC), Cloud9 from the LoL Championship Series (LCS), and Golden Guardians, who qualified from the play-in round. T1 secured a spot in the bracket stage despite not winning the LCK Spring Split in 2023, as the LCK's DRX holds the title of reigning world champions.

The Upper Bracket Semifinals will see the victorious team from the GenG vs G2 Esports match go up against the winner of the Mad Lions vs T1 match. Meanwhile, the defeated teams will compete in the Lower Bracket Round 1, where the losing team will be eliminated from the tournament.
In the Upper Bracket Semifinals, the winner of the match between Cloud9 and Bilibili Gaming will face off against the winner of the JD Gaming versus Golden Guardians matchup. The losers of these matches will also face off in Lower Bracket Round 1.
