The Berlin Dota 2 Major 2023 is heating up as the Group Stage continues, with OG and Gaimin Gladiators leading the way in the standings after the third day of the group stage. The Western European teams have secured their spots at the top of the standings, while Eastern European teams have made a resurgence. In contrast, teams from North America, China, and Southeast Asia are facing early exits.

Giamin Gladiators Leads Group A With 10-2 Score

Gaimin Gladiators, the Lima Major champions, has been particularly impressive, winning both of its matches on day three in dominant fashion. The team scored back-to-back sweeps over China's Team Aster and rivals Team Liquid, and now hold the best record in the tournament so far at 10-2. With only two matches remaining against 9 Pandas and TSM, it is looking like strong contenders to win its second Major title this season.

OG Leads Group B With 9-3 Score

OG, who is playing with stand-ins due to some visa issues, maintained its consistency on day three, retaining the top spot in Group B with a 9-3 record. Although it was forced two draws by The International 11 (TI11) champions Tundra Esports and Invictus Gaming. OG are still practically guaranteed an upper bracket place in the Playoffs. It will play its last two matches against Beastcoast and Shopify Rebellion, and will be looking to maintain its impressive consistency.

Despite OG and Gaimin Gladiators' strong performances, Eastern Europe has also seen a resurgence in the tournament, with 9 Pandas and BetBoom tied for second place in Group A with seven wins each. Team Aster is currently in fourth place with a 6-6 record, but three teams - Evil Geniuses, PSG.LGD, and Team Liquid - are hot on their heels.

On the other hand, it has been a disappointing tournament so far for TSM, Invictus Gaming, and Execration, as they are headed for early exits from the tournament. They are currently at the bottom of their respective groups, and it is unlikely that they will make the Playoffs at this point.
