Marvel Snap, the popular card game developed by Second Dinner, received its weekly OTA update on 27th April. This new update brings a series of nerfs and buffs to various cards. The most notable changes were made to the characters Sandman and Lizard, both of which have been popular choices in many of the game's meta decks. The changes are aimed at reducing the dominance of these characters in the game and promoting a more diverse playing experience for users.
Marvel April 27 Patch Nerfs Sandman & Lizard, and Buffs Shanna & Enchantress
Due to the rise of Hit-Monkey, Sandman was a powerful card and extremely popular in the previous season. The previous version of the Sandman card allowed players to play multiple cards in one turn, which gave Hit-Monkey a massive power boost. However, the latest update has reduced Sandman's power from five units to three and restricted players to only one card per turn. This makes the card less effective at gaining power to win locations.
Lizard has also received a huge nerf. Its effect now gives it minus four Power if the opponent has four cards on its location. Although the card's stat line remains the same, this change makes Lizard much weaker as a power booster. Players can expect to see a decrease in Lizard plays with this nerf.
Unlike Sandman and Lizard, Shanna and Enchantress have received buffs in the latest update. As for Shanna, its power has been increased from two units to four, which now makes it a more viable option as compared to the previous version. On the other hand, although Enchantress was an already powerful card, it has also received a buff. The power of Enchantress has been increased from four units to six, which makes it a more effective counter to meta decks such as Devil Dinosaur/Darkhawk and Patriot.
Second Dinner has stated that these regular balance updates using OTA are part of their new approach to keep the game fresh and engaging. The update on 27 th April marks the fourth such update to be released.
