Blizzard Entertainment has announced the Diablo 4 Server Slam, a final test of the game's servers before its launch. The event will take place from 12th to 14th May and will be available on Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. The event will include couch co-op for consoles and cross-play and cross-progression for all platforms.

Diablo 4 Server Slam Announced: What to Expect?

While the event will allow players to experience a fraction of what Diablo 4 has to offer, the main objective of the Server Slam is to test the capabilities of Blizzard's servers before the game's launch on 6th June. Any character progress made during the event will not carry over to the launch version of the game.

Players can expect to experience the Prologue and the entirety of Act I, with Fractured Peaks being the first zone available for exploration. The five playable classes, Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue, and Sorcerer, will be available, and players can level up their characters up to Level 20.

Blizzard has also altered the Legendary Item drop rate during the event to reflect the drop rate that will be present in the launch version of the game. The version of Diablo 4 available during the Server Slam will include all the bug fixes and updates detailed in the Open Beta Retrospective blog.

Diablo 4 Server Slam Rewards

Players will have the chance to earn rewards during the Server Slam, including the Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy for defeating Ashava, one of the Burning Hells' most fowl machinations. Furthermore, rewards from the Early Access and Open Beta weekends, including the Initial Casualty Title, Early Voyager Title, and Beta Wolf Pack Cosmetic Item, will also be available.

Players who unlock these rewards during the event will receive them once Diablo 4 launches. However, if players have earned these rewards during the Early Access and Open Beta weekends, they do not need to earn them again.

How To Access Diablo 4 Server Slam

Players can download the Server Slam early, starting on 10th May at 12 p.m. PDT. To download the Server Slam on PC, players need to launch the Battle.net client and select Diablo 4 – Server Slam from the dropdown menu under Game Version. On Xbox and PlayStation, players need to search for Diablo 4 – Server Slam in their respective stores and select download.

An Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus subscription will not be required to play Diablo 4 during the Server Slam in most regions. However, in Germany, a PlayStation Plus subscription will be required due to rating requirements. Once Diablo 4 launches, an Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus subscription will be required to access some of the game's multiplayer features.
