We settled in to play through one of the two dungeons included in the upcoming Scribes of Fate Elder Scrolls Online Expansion. We were both challenged and incredibly thrilled about the full Expansion as well as what to expect from ESO in 2023 as a result of it. Dungeons are a common feature of The Elder Scrolls Online, allowing players to advance a distinct plot while taking their time to take down both little adversaries and intimidating monsters. Zenimax is now adding two additional adventures to cover the impending Necrom chapter and the new Arcanist class, giving players more than 130 dungeons to explore.

With two new dungeons, Scrivener's Hall and Bal Sunnar, The Elder Scrolls Online is kicking off its Shadow Over Morrowind storyline this year. These dungeons are both centered around Apocrypha, Hermaeus Mora, and the Dunmer people.

Battle with a unique twist

Combat must be a precise blend of chaotic, skill-based, and tough engagements, as is essential for the best Elder Scrolls Online dungeons, especially when it comes to the dungeon monsters. It is achieved at Scrivener's Hall. While the bosses present a different level of difficulty, each monster offers just the right amount of resistance to make you feel like a formidable hero. They have a lot of health, complex spells, and just the right amount of difficulty so that everyone can get into the gameplay without getting bored.

What are Scribes of Fate dungeons and what is the plot?

The first is Bal Sunnar, a dungeon in the Hills of Stonefalls that centres on the Psijic Order as they travel to a remote village. To look into the misapplication of time magic and put an end to any potentially harmful energies, they are going inside the dungeon.

Scrivener's Hall, also known as the location of a group known as the Scribes of Mora, is the second dungeon in the Scribes of Fate DLC that is accessible. A malicious force recently overcame this group of knowledge seekers, turning them from studious worshippers into zealous Zealots. You and their previous commander are responsible for restoring order to the Scribes.

An introduction to the Arcanist

The scattering of opponents of the Arcanist class throughout the Scrivener's Hall dungeon was a subtle but alluring addition. This was the first time we really got to see the Arcanist in action while playing, as seen by the green spell effects. Smaller adversaries were manageable to defeat, but some of the movements and effects reveal the new class having more potential. Although it was merely a taste, it convinced us that this would undoubtedly be a very well-liked figure.

Veteran players will find it to be a novel experience that doesn't feel like the last round of dungeons, offering tanks a lot more to do and giving healers additional tools with which to work. You can't just concentrate on yourself and expect to survive while you spam damage, and tanks can't just soak up every hit either. You have to be aware of where you're leaving AoEs and the boss' location because every attack changes the arena and has the potential to take everyone down with it. Nevertheless, it's an interesting game with plenty of mysteries and reasonable obstacles for beginning players, especially those who play DPS.
