Diablo 4 was featured at Milan Fashion Week, making it one of the year's most surprising crossovers. With Diablo 4's release date now only a few months away, all new marketing starts are being implemented recently.

The release of Diablo Immortal last year was widely seen as a critical failure for Blizzard and was criticized by many fans for its heavy concentration on microtransactions, many fans of the genre are still wary of Diablo 4. Fans will be hoping that Blizzard does not interpret Diablo Immortal's enormous financial success as a recommendation for microtransactions in future Diablo titles. Despite this, Diablo Immortal was a major commercial success for the corporation. Fans may have found Blizzard's steadfast justification of its strategy after launch more unsettling. Only time will tell if Diablo 4 will meet the same fate.

The partnership between blizzard and the fashion designer came as a complete surprise, with the Diablo 4-inspired designs being unveiled by Danish apparel designer Han Kjbenhavn during Milan Fashion Week. As the company's creative director Jannik Wikkels Davidsen stated in an interview with Polygon, he was inspired by the "huge, gorgeous evil Renaissance" art style shown in the game, the looks unveiled at the exhibition appear to be highly influenced by Lilith, the game's adversary. The move is a part of Blizzard's escalating marketing for the game, and there are reports that the open beta dates for Diablo 4 will follow soon.

The release of Diablo 4 is anticipated to have a significant impact on the franchise. Diablo Immortal had the biggest launch in the franchise's history, therefore public audiences are more aware of it now than ever before, despite the controversies surrounding the game. There is no doubt that expectations for Diablo 4 are still high given that more than 10 years after its release, Diablo 3 and its expansions are still receiving new content. Diablo 4 has a great chance of succeeding if the sequel obtains comparable backing.
