A Pokémon game that was teased almost four years ago could soon reach players. It's unusual for something related to Pokémon to vanish after being announced, but in this case, there hasn't been any significant information about the game published and it hasn't been frequently addressed afterwards.

Since its announcement, the secret Pokémon game has piqued the interest of fans, but there has been plenty else to keep them busy. Since it was first revealed, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Pokémon Masters EX, the anime's decision to say goodbye to Ash, and the rerelease of old favourites like Pokémon Stadium for the Nintendo Switch have all taken place. Some others, though, are still curious about the game and haven't forgotten it.

The app Pokémon Sleep, which promotes sound sleep practises, was originally introduced in May 2019. The app was shown to work with a gadget that users placed beneath their pillows, but few more details were given about it. The Pokémon Company had previously said that the game would be launched in 2020, however, since making that declaration, they have been utterly silent and haven't offered any form of updates.  During Pokémon Presents, the newest instalment of the Pokémon series will be unveiled for fans to enjoy. The DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, upcoming games, and possibly even the new anime will be the main topics. The fact that Pokémon Sleep's homepage has been redirected there suggests that The Pokémon Company is now prepared to make the app public.

Niantic and The Pokémon Company, who were working together to create the app, are yet to state the website change. While some have speculated that the domain may have been sold and is now simply diverting thanks to a troll, others have expressed concerns that the page redirection may be a simple means of using an otherwise inactive website. But according to WHOIS information, the domain name hasn't been resold since it was created in 2019.

Pokémon aficionados believed Pokémon Sleep was a cancelled project up until 2022 when users found code referencing cross-compatibility with Pokémon Sleep in a Pokémon Go update. Although there was a lot of talk about an announcement last year, it died down once Pokémon Day passed without any news regarding Pokémon Sleep.
