Riot Forge has announced that the release of its forthcoming League of Legends spin-off titles, Convergence: A League of Legends Story and Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story, will be delayed. Both games revolve around champions, Ekko and Nunu & Willump, in turn. 

In 2019, Riot announced the Riot Forge label, which collaborates with outside studios to develop games in the League of Legends universe. Double Stallion Games is working on Convergence, while Tequila Works is working on Song of Nunu. 

The first two games released by the label were the rhythm game Hextech Mayhem and the RPG Ruined King, both in November 2021. (Riot announced Monday that Ruined King will receive a next-generation update next year.) To distinguish them as spinoffs, all Forge games so far have the subtitle "A League of Legends Story." 

The main League of Legends strategy game is still very popular, but it can be difficult to get started with. Riot can encourage individuals to check out the League of Legends franchise without requiring them to begin with the somewhat intimidating flagship title through the Forge label, as well as the in-development League fighting game, MMO, and second season of the Netflix series Arcane.
