Nintendo Switch Online members have access to unique profile icons as part of their membership that is only available for a short while. Subscribers had the opportunity to select designs inspired by the Nintendo Entertainment System in September, and those inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be available in October!

The majority of the designs will be influenced by a different Champion each week, with wave one focusing on Revali. While frames and backdrops can be purchased for five Platinum points each, each icon costs 10 Platinum points. Mipha will be the subject of wave two, Daruk will be the subject of wave three, and Urbosa will be the subject of wave four.

In 2017, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild debuted alongside the Nintendo Switch, and more than five years later, it still has a devoted fan base. The Champions joined forces with Link and Zelda in the game in a last-ditch effort to stop Calamity Ganon, but all four were killed by him 100 years before the game's events. The four Champions' ghosts, despite having passed away, play a significant role in the story of the game and aid Link in fulfilling his destiny. In the spin-off game Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, the four Champions also made an appearance as playable characters. It's realistic to assume that many Zelda fans will seize the opportunity to obtain these new profile icons given their importance in both games.

On May 12, 2023, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the follow-up to Breath of the Wild, is scheduled for release. There hasn't been much information released about the game up to this now, but the skies over Hyrule appear to be important. Since Nintendo is keeping quiet regarding the game's plot, there has been a lot of conjecture that it would somehow relate to the events of Skyward Sword. Fans will just have to wait till May to learn more for the time being.
