Cyberpunk 2077 gamers can win one of three custom RTX 4090 graphics cards as CD Projekt Red unveiled a brand-new alternate reality game in Night City. It is no secret that Cyberpunk 2077 has had a significant comeback in recent months despite not having the best of launches. Millions of gamers have flocked to CD Projekt Red's most recent game in recent weeks thanks to both the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime and the most recent update for Cyberpunk 2077.

A few of the elements that have assisted the game's player base in recovering are the Phantom Liberty expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, the highly lauded anime remake of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and the consistent release of patches for the game, which have witnessed it significantly improve from the days of its buggy launch. Few could have expected the magnitude of the rebound, as Cyberpunk 2077's concurrent player count recently exceeded that of The Witcher 3 on Steam, even though some may have predicted that gamers would come back to Night City as a result of these events.

It now looks like CD Projekt Red is taking advantage of Cyberpunk 2077's popularity by posing a challenge to its players within the game. Players learned that a "runner unearthed a peculiar code" on the Internet as a result of a cryptic tweet from the game's creator. A fixer will contact the player if they locate the location of this code in Night City and inquire about some "preem hardware." A picture of a customized RTX 4090 was used to demonstrate what this "preem hardware" is in a blog post on the Cyberpunk 2077 website.

The RTX 4090 is Nvidia's most recent top-tier graphics card, and the specially created Cyberpunk 2077 edition has a special backplate with a design influenced by Johnny Silverhand's band Samurai. The first of the three custom graphics cards are given to the player who discovers the code hidden somewhere in Cyberpunk 2077, however, no one is really sure where they'll find this secret code right now. Fans have currently determined that the code is located somewhere in Arasaka Tower thanks to cues on CD Projekt Red's website and Twitter account. CD Projekt Red will provide indications for two additional tasks or challenges in the following weeks, which will lead to the giveaway of two more RTX 4090 graphics cards.

For the first task, neither the meaning of the code nor its location in Arasaka Tower has been established. The Arasaka Tower, the main office of the Arasaka Corporation in Night City, is a huge edifice that may contain many mysteries. While some gamers believe the code will be found on a tangible object in the building, others believe they can get their very own RTX 4090 by breaking into a terminal. Regardless of how the mystery is revealed, competitors are still in it to win "premium" gaming equipment.
