New Nvidia graphics cards are finally out, which is the day PC gamers have been waiting for. New Nvidia RTX 4090 was unveiled by Nvidia. The manufacturer of computer chips also revealed new RTX tools and a platform, as well as an RTX remastered version of Portal. See all the major gaming announcements from Nvidia's GTC 2022 presentation in the following paragraphs.

Ada Lovelace

Ada Lovelace is the name of Nvidia's third-generation RTX architecture. Based on a 4N technology, this revolutionary GPU design produces devices with 76 billion transistors and 90 teraflops of computing capability. The throughput for ray-triangle intersection on the RT cores has also increased by two times.

DLSS 3.0, which can now employ a new AI method to generate complete frames rather than just upscaling pixels, will be powered by the new tensor core and will support FP8 in the meanwhile. According to Nvidia, DLSS 3.0 can increase gaming performance over brute-force rendering by up to four times. Nvidia demonstrated how DLSS 3.0 may increase Microsoft Flight Simulator's frame rate by twofold.

Portal with RTX

With RTX and DLSS 3.0, Nvidia has modified and remastered the video game Portal. Using omniverse capabilities, the game has brand-new, realistic lighting effects.

RTX Remix

A brand-new program called RTX Remix allows you to effectively turn any game into an RTX experience. You only need to record the game in a generic scene descriptor, and then you may scene to change the lighting and other elements. The experience can then be repeated using the new lighting.

Nvidia RTX 4090

The first new generation card from Nvidia to be unveiled at GTC 2022 is the RTX 4090. Its 1400 TOPS tensor performance enables it to run RT games 4x faster and more conventional rasterized games 2x faster. Nvidia asserts that this new card is two to four times faster than the previous Nvidia RTX 3090.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 will cost $1,599 on October 12 and have 24GB of GDDR6X video memory.

Nvidia RTX 4080

The second new GPU from Nvidia is the RTX 4080, which will have either 16GB or 12GB of G6X memory. Nvidia claims that this new card is 2-4 times faster than the Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti. The starting price for the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 with 16GB of G6X memory is $1,199.

A new price

Nvidia also announced pricing reductions for its earlier generation GPUs in case you're not quite ready to upgrade to the next generation of GPUs. The 16GB and 12GB GDDR6 variants of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 are now available, with prices starting at $899. The RTX 3060 will revert to its $329 starting price in the meantime.
