On Wednesday, it was declared by Nvidia that it is offering free Steam copies of Spider-Man Remastered with RTX 3080, 3080Ti, 3090, or 3090 Ti from now till October 12. This deal is applied to individual GPUs as well as desktops and laptops having higher-end Ampere cards from the participating retailers. Users should redeem game codes via Nvidia's GeForce Experience desktop app. 

Also, Spider-Man is not a very demanding title since it was launched for PlayStation 4. Presently, the high-end cards that Nvidia is bundling with the title can run the game at 60 frames per second in 4K, with ray tracing. Nvidia's DLSS image upscaling should push those framerates even higher. 

Spider-Man Remastered was released on August 12 which is the latest PC port of a former PlayStation exclusive from Sony. When compared to the PlayStation 5 version, the game on PC features improvements in ray tracing, texture filtering, LoD quality, SSAO, and shadows. 

The time when 3080 and 3090 was launched in 2020, at that time pandemic supply chain disruptions and crypto mining increased their prices which were not easily affordable at all. Entering fall 2022, when Nvidia prepared to launch the RTX 4090 and 4080, the situation got totally reversed. 

Previously, the crypto crash lowered the prices and Nvidia plans to lower them even more in order to clear its backlog of unsold GPUs. Presently, the 3080 Ti and both 3090 models go for double-digit percentages below MSRP. In the midst of the demand for RTX 4000, Nvidia thinks a free copy of Spider-Man can convince some to pull the trigger on a 3000 series card now. On the other hand, more popular mid-range 3000 models like 3060 have not seen the same price pressure.
