Dell has got large number of products in India. Dell has been known to be a premium gaming laptop
brand that comes under Alienware. It has been there in the market for a long time but Taiwanese
companies such as ASUS and Acer are giving out more value options for the same price.

It doesn't mean Dell has lost its value among Indian customers. Dell is presently offering a good
value. But let's checks out if it’s enough for modern gaming standards to give us a comfortable 1080p
gaming experience or not.

Design Build Quality-

This Dell G15 5511 is made of plastic and its build is solid as well as bulky weighing around 2.7kg thus
carrying it anywhere.
However, it has same boxy design that you have seen in previous Dell G15 gaming laptops. But Dell
is really good because of its logo, rear styling and good airflow with smart design elements.

Display-

Here you have a 15.6-inch FHD display with an old 16:9 aspect ratio along with a 120Hz refresh rate.
For most of the budget gamers this is a decent display for gaming having 250 nits of peak brightness.
For regular use, it sometimes has low brightness and less color accuracy. In case of casual use, the
display is good.
Viewing angles aren't up to the mark but the screen is anti-glare one that help during work in a
bright environment.

Performance-

It gives Ryzen 5 5600H level of performance which is good if we consider budget gaming laptops.
This Hexa-core CPU with 8GB DDR4 RAM won't give much trouble. This Dell G15 5511 gaming laptop
have 512GB SSD and does not hamper day-to-day work. If we consider the overall performance,
then this 8GB RAM accompanied with 11th Gen Core i5 processor does not perform well but won't
disappoint us while doing basic work, coding and running useful software.

Gaming-

In terms of gaming, you might get skeptical about the Core i5 processor and the credit goes to RTX
3050 at 1080p. In the games where you have DLSS, the performance gets a bump for free and
without it in most of the games, you comfortably get 60+ FPS.

In Battle Royal games, you get good frame rates and can enjoy the fluency of the 120Hz refresh rate.
If you are an FHD gamer, you can really enjoy games at high resolution without any issues or in
Medium/High to enjoy more FPS giving more fluidity while gaming.

Keyboard Trackpad-

Being a 15.6-inch laptop and having an old design, this Dell G15 5511 is bulky and has a full-size
keyboard having a lot of space at the sides. Sometimes typing becomes really difficult.

The keyboard is for casual use or for those who don't types a lot, else the layout on ASUS TUF or
Lenovo Idea pad gaming laptops is much better.
The trackpad in this Dell G15 gaming laptop is on the shorter side, though the quality is good but
very small in size for daily usage or gaming.

I/O Connectivity-

Dell gives you no chance to complain on the port front as there's enough options. On the left-hand
side, you have an ethernet port along with a 3.5mm headphone jack while on the right-had side,
there are two USB Type-A ports and on the rear end, you have a USB Type-C port, another Type-A
port, HDMI port, and power input.

Coming to the connectivity part, this gaming laptop has both Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0, performing
as expected, the network reception on it is great and better than many flagship laptops and gives
incredible Wi-Fi speeds.

Thermals Upgradability-

Dell provides reliable laptops. The kind of ventilation and thermal package offered on this G15 is
incredible.
This laptop doesn't get hot. The 8GB RAM is upgradable and for storage, it can also be upgraded.

Audio Webcam-

This Dell G15 5511 is not perfect in terms of budget option but is decent enough for daily use but
could have been better.

On the webcam front, the 720p webcam is good and bright enough to satisfy the video call needs
along with game streams as well.

Battery Life-

You can't expect great battery here. It gives you an average of 2 hours of battery life.
The additional weight of the charger and the laptop makes it heavy to carry and overall weighs
around 3kg for sure. One good thing is the instant wake function that lets Dell G15 5511 power
instantly soon as you open the lid.

Verdict-

If you are looking for a new gaming laptop in RS. 60k-70k, this Dell G15 5511 is an option that makes
sense. It performs well while gaming at FHD and you will enjoy it but due to lack of colour accuracy,
other productivity works cannot be considered here.

This is good to use for normal students and college goers. For daily use, the Core i5 is good enough.
Dell should update its age-old boxy design which gives a signature look but a fresher design is really
needed. Overall, at Rs. 69k on Amazon India, this Dell G15 5511 gaming laptop readily retails in the
country, considering its reliability, good thermals and connectivity along with the performance.
