Call of Duty: Warzone is a new free-to-play, massive combat experience from the world of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Warzone’s Battle Royale mode will take place on the game’s massive Verdansk map, which has several named zones and over 300 points of interest, according to Activision. The mode will pit 150 players against each other and will feature trio squads. The current Modern Warfare owners will get early access to Warzone following a brief download. Once download is complete, Modern Warfare owners will “unlock” the Warzone panel, which was previously classified, and can enter the lobby and play. Warzone would be free for everyone and the full version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is not required for getting access to it.
players will have the chance to take on special contracts in Plunder, which appear to be small missions to get more money. Just like Modern Warfare, Warzone will feature cross-platform play and unified progression between all of your different accounts. In addition, all cosmetics and customization options that players have already unlocked in Modern Warfare, including the battle pass, will transfer to Warzone as soon as they download the game. Once you hit the ground, your squad’s objective is to survive longer than everyone else in the lobby. Looting items, killing enemies, and completing Contracts all help you outlast the competition, as they will boost your loadout and give you in-match Cash.
