Players have already been teased with Lightfall leaks about the expansion's plot, villain, and new setting as The Witness' troops close down on The Traveler. Prior to that, though, Season 18's new content must be explored, and a fresh batch of pictures has provided players with a sneak peek at what's in store.

The upcoming Season of the Plunder of Destiny 2 is believed to be an Eliksni-focused season with a constant presence of pirate themes. This appears to be supported by the leaked screenshots, as the first two show two updated Ketches that resemble galactic pirate ships with sails bearing the names of the respective Eliksni houses. One of the Ketch's symbols is likely to be recognised by seasoned players as belonging to the infamous Eliksni crime boss The Spider, while the second one displays a new house emblem.

The final image provides a preview of the new weapons that might be added to users' ever-expanding vaults in Destiny 2 Season 18. The graphic confirms the armament includes a new pulse rifle, machine gun, submachine gun, sidearm, shotgun, and linear fusion rifle. The general look of the weaponry appears to fit with the season's Eliksni and pirate themes. It is unclear, however, if these are the only new weapons that players can obtain using the season's motif or what additional weapons they will be able to grind for when the season begins.

Since then, more leaks have suggested that Eramis the Shipstealer would make a triumphant comeback during Season of the Plunder and might even join The Witness' forces that are currently present in the Solar System. Whether it was the minimal amount of vitality she had after players fought her in Beyond Light or different snippets of lore suggesting she was being "changed," everything pointed to her reappearing at some time. It is likely that after this metamorphosis, she establishes a new home just for The Witness, with the Ketch with the new symbol as a part of that house.

But in the end, everything that happens in Seasons 18 and 19 is only preparing the audience for what will happen when Lightfall premieres in 2023. As The Witness launches its final assault on the Solar System, recent leaks indicate that major things are coming for guardians, The Last City, and The Traveler itself. However, gamers may anticipate getting a clearer look when Bungie's showcase stream begins.
