Boom Esports triumphs in the 2022 Gamers Galaxy Dota 2 Invitational.

Boom Esports, an Indonesian Dota 2 professional squad, defeats other Southeast Asian teams at
this year's GAMERS GALAXY: Dota 2 Invitational HatYai Thailand despite a rocky start to the
competition. Boom Esports defeated Polaris Esports in a best-of-five grand finals series, winning
$75,000 USD. Boom Esports is a fellow SEA powerhouse squad. In the championship match,
Boom Esports triumphed 3-2 over Polaris. The Indonesian squad was successful in defending
their Dota 2 LAN competition championship.Boom Esports defeated Tundra Esports to win the inaugural Gamer Galaxy Dota 2 LAN
Invitational in 2021. The Indonesian team triumphed in the 2017 grand final with a 3-2 victory as
well. In the early group stage on August 18, Polaris Esports upset the Boom Esports team, who
was headed for TI, with a comeback victory. Polaris Esports exhibited a perfect victory over the
team that was strongly favoured to win the competition in the best-of-one group stage match.
Boom Esports did not lose another game during the round-robin group stages as they
consistently outperformed their bracket. The Indonesian professional squad was in a similar
situation to previous year after making it to the finals. Boom Esports faced the team who
handed them their first defeat in the competition, as if the story were coming full circle.This
time, the team from TI made sure Polaris wouldn't win back and defeat them again.

Game 1

It was a team play showdown for both teams in the opening game as Polaris and Boom both set
up early-game 5-man battles. By stifling Polaris Esports offence by securing goals early on,
Boom Esports dominated the opening game. Boom';s "Yopaj" won the opening match with a
stunning 10-kill performance.

Game 2

Heading into Game 2, however, it was an entirely different scenario. Boom Esports won the
game's money and kills, however they lost the following game in a turnaround. By obtaining a
lineup of damage-scaling heroes, Polaris dominated Game 2, leaving Boom with no chance of
winning in the closing stages.

Game 3
