The Valorant Champions 2022 skin line and bundle have been unveiled by
Riot Games. They will be available from August 23 through September 21
with 50% of the net sales going to the teams that will be competing in the
tournament. The bundle costs 6265 VP, or roughly $66. It comes with a
Butterfly Knife, Phantom skin, Spray, Player Card, and Gun Buddy. The skins
from this pack, like in previous years, contain a Champion's Aura, a visual
effect that causes the skins to shine when the player has the most kills in the
game.

A special Easter egg will appear on the knife if a player is top fragging with at
least 25 kills in this edition, which also has an effect that evolves every 5 kills
and has a maximum of 25. As the player scores more kill in a game, the skins
visual effect shows them gradually being devoured in crimson shards. Players
can use Radianite to unlock levels in the visual effects, just as other skins at
this price point and tier. There are three levels in both the Phantom and the
Butterfly Knife. The Champion's Aura, the changing design, and a unique
inspect animation are unlocked at Level 3, The Knife at Level 1, and the gold
VFX swipes and looping animation at Level 2.

The Phantom will have a model design, ADS reticle at Level 1, bright red
bullets, and the Champions 2022 logo. The Champions song will play during
the inspection at Level 2, the pistol will have a customized red muzzle flash in
the shape of the VCT Spark emblem, and each kill will be followed by a
glowing aura. The Finisher and Kill Banner will be included at Level 3, while
the Champion's Aura and changing design will cap the pistol at Level 4.
The skins won't reappear in the shop or night market; they may only be
purchased during the window of time from August 23 to September 21.
About halfway through the competition, Riot Games reported that the 2021
Valorant Champions package had raised $7.5 million for the teams during the
event. Subsequent reports stated that Riot Games had earned a total of
$18.7 million from the cosmetic.

On August 31, the Group Stage of the Valorant Champions competition kicks
off in Istanbul, Turkey.
