One of the final opportunities for Dota 2 LAN action in front of a live audience before The International 2022 regional qualifiers is The GAMERS GALAXY: Dota 2 Invitational HatYai Thailand. Starting on August 18 and concluding with the grand final on August 20, the GAMERS GALAXY: Dota 2 Invitational HatYai Thailand will take place at Central Hatyai in HatYai, Thailand. Eight teams in total were invited to this event, and they will battle for the majority of the $125,000 USD prize fund. One of the largest LANs to just include Southeast Asian teams is the The GAMERS GALAXY: Dota 2 Invitational HatYai Thailand.

Format
Group Stage
The group stage on the 18th and 19th of august will follow the following format :
Single round-robin BO1 group stage
In each group, the top two teams advance to the single-elimination playoffs.
The rest are eliminated
Playoffs (August 20)
The playoffs on the 20th of august will follow the following format :
Single Elimination bracket
The Final is a BO5, whereas the Semifinals are BO3s.
Schedule and Day 1 results
Over the course of two days, 24 BO1 matches will be played during the group round. On the tournament's last day, two BO3 semifinal matches and one BO5 championship match will come after this.

On day 1 teams - Talon Esports stood victorious in both the matches, whereas Polaris Esports, RSG, Team SMG won one match.

Note: GAMERS GALAXY had only officially released the schedule for Day 1 of the Group Stages. However, the tournament organiser provided a document with Liquipedia that contained the Day 2 and Day 3 schedules.

Dota 2 Invitational HatYai Thailand will be broadcast live in English on the GAMERS GALAXY Youtube channel and the GalaxyRacerSEA Twitch channel.
