Revenant Esports will represent India at the World Championship of Pokémon Unite in 2022.

Beginning on August 19 in London, the first Pokémon UNITE World Championship will take
place. The top 16 teams have qualified for the Championship, where they will compete for a
massive prize pool of $500K, following the end of its regional competitions.

The two-day event will be divided into two parts: the Group Stage and the Playoffs, where all
games will follow a best-of-three format (with the exception of the Grand Final, which will
use a best-of-five format).

India will be represented by Revenant Esports at the upcoming Pokémon

UNITE Championship 2022.

After dazzling achievements in the UNITE Championship India, Revenant Esports won their
place at the coveted international competition. The team won the regional competition after
dominating the whole competition. In preparation for the Championship, the squad just
welcomed Jeet Swifty Kundra, a former Dota 2 player, to their Pokémon UNITE lineup. He
didn't compete with their team in the local competition.

The team participated in the UNITE Championship India competition on June 18 and 19,
along with 23 other teams. These 24 teams were split into four groups for the group stage on
the first day. The top two from each group advanced to the Playoffs which is on the second
day

With a 5-0 record, Revenant emerged as the group's top team, followed by S8UL Esports. In
the Playoffs, the club maintained its momentum by winning every game. To earn a spot in
the 2022 Pokémon, UNITE World championship, they defeated Ascension 3-1 in the Grand
Finals. The squad is put in Group B with Orangutan, another Indian club that just signed the
old No Lucario roster from Singapore.

Teams and format for the World Championship

There are four groups that consist of four teams each made up of the top 16 teams. The
Playoffs, which begin on August 20, will be comprised of the top two clubs from each group.
Prize money of $100k will be given to the overall winning team, while $75k and $65k will go
to the second and third-placed teams, respectively.

At 1:30 PM IST, the competition will be livestreamed in Hindi and many other languages
Pokémon UNITE's YouTube and Twitch feeds.
