PMWI 2022 Main Event Day 2: Major Updates

After Day 2 of the PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI) Main Event, the home nation's squad, Falcons Esports, took the lead. The squad gained two positions today, taking the lead with 142 points. After Day 1, Vampire Esports had taken the lead but has since dropped to fourth place with 111 points. With 130 points and 55 eliminations, Stalwart Esports has currently entrenched itself in the 2nd position. RSG had a fantastic turnaround and was in third place with 122 points. With 55 points, Team Soul lost two spots to be relegated to the 15th position. On both days, the team performed averagely.

Match I: Erangel
After dominating the final circle completely, China's RSG won their first Chicken Dinner with 11 eliminations. With five and four kills, respectively, Morph and Stalwart came in second and third, however, both teams were defeated by RSG. With eight eliminations, South Korean powerhouse Damwon Gaming took fourth place, while Team Soul received just one point.

Match II: Miramar
Stalwart Esports firmly secured their second Chicken Dinner with 11 finishers. Istanbul Wildcard delivered an outstanding effort, scoring 19 points, including seven eliminations. Team Soul only earned three points, compared to Nigma Galaxy's 18 and 52 Esports' 13 points.

Match III: Sanhok
With four sets remaining, Vivo Keyd won the third match after displaying excellent gameplay and on-point coordination. With eight and four frags, Team Falcons and DenizBank Wildcats took second and third place, respectively. RSG played aggressively and amassed 17 points, 11 of which came from eliminations. Team Soul played poorly yet again, scoring just one point.

Match IV: Erangel 
RSG played the game aggressively throughout, securing a 12-kill victory. With 10 kills, Nigma Galaxy put on an even better performance to finish second. Istanbul and Damwon Gaming each received 14 points, while 4Rivals scored 15. Throughout the game, Team Soul's dismal performance persisted and only one point was added to their total. Stalwart Esports led the overall standings after match 4 with 125 points. With 108 points, Team Falcons was in second place behind them. With 106 points, RSG moved up to third place, followed by Vampire Esports.

Match V: Miramar
With 10 kills, Damwon Gaming was able to score their first Chicken Dinner. The squad defeated Morph to take the victory as the final zone shrunk above them. With 15 points, including nine kills, Team Soul put up a much-needed performance. Nigma Galaxy earned nine points by playing consistently once again.

Match VI: Erangel
In the sixth match of Day 2 of PMWI, Team Falcons overcame Damwon Gaming to take home a 16-kill Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. In the decisive circle, they engaged in exciting combat. With eight and two eliminations, Damwon and Morph clinched second and third place, respectively. RSG had 11 kills despite being eliminated sooner.
