Arc Raiders, a free-to-play sci-fi shooter, will now debut in 2023, according to an announcement
from Embark Studios Arc Raiders will now be released in 2023, according to a statement released
by Embark Studios yesterday (August 8). The company stated that ,it will use this extra time to
develop the experience, and allow it to achieve its full potential. The studio also said “We will
be diving into more details as soon as we start to test the game more extensively with player.”

The game's sci-fi atmosphere was highlighted in a teaser that debuted Arc Raiders at last year's
The Game Awards. The multiplayer shooter Arc Raiders is set in a world where people must
engage in risky firefights to stop robotic invaders, known as Arc, from safely landing from orbit,
as described on the game's Steam website. The CEO of Embark Studios parent firm Nexon,
Owen Mahoney, provided further information about the release date of Embark's first game
back in 2021.

As for when, Mahoney stated, that will depend on when the creators believe they have an
exceptional game that they are glad to show their closest friends.  The key to getting there is
iteration, play testing, and refining. This is not a linear process, as any seasoned gaming firm
tells the audience  if they are being upfront with them. The goal of iteration is to make the game
enjoyable, which is an artistic task rather than an engineering issue.

Setting an Arc Raiders release date, according to Mahoney, “would put the wrong type of
pressure on the game development,” and if the game is launched in a good state rather than
being produced under pressure, it“ will last many years” . Other gaming news includes the
postponement of the planned strategy game Marvel's Midnight Suns. Firaxis anticipates the
game's release before March 2023.
