League Of Legends ruined a competitive match for two Japanese
professional teams suddenly after a previously unknown HexFlash glitch
went on to change the entire dynamics of the game. Due to back-to-back
frequent updates thrown in the way of LOL, it is not uncommon that some
kind of crack may have slipped in. These bugs are often soul-crushing for
professional players.

In the LJL (League of Legends Japan League), a glitch instantly respawned
players causing a pause in a match between Detonation FocusMe and
Sengoku Gaming.

Jang Once Se-young, a Jungler for Sengoku, used the Hexflash rune and
respawned right after passing away as a result of the glitch.

Plenty of others expected the break to last only a few minutes, but it ended
up being almost two hours. But the match between the two teams is no
longer happening. At the time of the intermission, DFM had built up a lead
that was nearly insurmountable for Sengoku, and its win was all but
guaranteed. But a new version of the game had to be created in order to
preserve fair play for all parties and the authenticity of the competition.

The LJL team didn't seem to work without any difficulty, either. In an effort
to return the game to its original state before the issue appeared,
authorities tried Chronobreak, a safeguard that ultimately restores the
entire game up to the time of the pause.

Sadly, DFM's Chronobreak efforts failed to resolve the Hexflash problem,
and the game needed to be completely redone. Sengoku defeated DFM by
using the lessons they had learned from the previous game, a victory that
probably might not have occurred if the entire recreation hadn't been made.
Following the outcome, many DFM players expressed their worries about
League of Legends fair competition on Twitter. It's indeed noteworthy that
DFM's mid-laner Lee Yaharong Chan-Ju, a seasoned player, posed the
question on Twitter in a thread concerning what would happen if a glitch
such as this appeared during the World Championship Finals.

He additionally expressed some worry about his professional future and
League of Legends’ viability as an Esports title Detonation
FocusMe is a well-known organization with several players on
the current lineup showcasing Japan in international competitions and
triumphing over some of the top teams in the globe. With their distinct
playstyles and charismatic personalities, gamers like Shunsuke Evi
Murase have given foreign viewers a reason to admire this Japanese side.
