This winter, Square Enix will be launching the action-RPG Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion on
the hybrid platform, as if we didn't already have our hands full with some incredible RPG
experiences. We've heard that it will go far beyond a remaster in the past, but how far will it go?
Tetsuya Nomura, the game's creative producer, went into a little more insight in a new interview
with Everyeye (translated by Nintendo Everything).

Although it's far more than a remaster rather than a full remake, it's very tough to characterize.
Reunion is used to bring everything together:

He said that, they had conflicting emotions about it since they weren't sure how to adequately
explain the idea. There was once debate about whether to refer to it as a remake or remaster.
Given that the game is always the same and the plot hasn't been altered in any manner, he believes
the product is closer to the definition of a remaster.

He continued to say that, on the technical side, however, the fighting system has been upgraded, the
visuals have been totally redone, the models have been recreated from scratch, and several
moments that were only subtitled in the original have now been dubbed. they still don't know the
exact phrase to use to describe the game, so they went with reunion. It's quite complex since it
goes much beyond remastering yet isn't a full remake at the same time.

So there we have it; it combines elements of both without being a "full remake in the strictest
sense.
Updated 3D models, complete voiceovers, and fresh musical compositions are all promised for the
game. If you're unfamiliar with this game, it debuted on the PSP in 2007 and is a predecessor to Final
Fantasy VII. Zach Fair, a significant figure in the FFVII mythos, stars in it Tetsuya
Nomura says that, his narrative will make a lasting effect because of the way it intertwines
with the destinies of characters like Cloud, Aerith, Tifa, and Sephiroth.
