Electronic Arts and ONE Esports will organise the inter-Asian esports competition for EA Sports
FIFA Online 4, with the second season, EACC Summer 2022, taking place from August 15
through August 21. Twelve teams will compete for a total prize pool of $100,000 in this
tournament, which will be broadcast throughout China, Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Three teams from each of the four competing nations like China, Korea, Thailand, and
Vietnam each with three to four players, will compete in a double-elimination bracket. Each
meeting in this double-elimination bracket will be played in a Best-of-Five style, which requires
teams to win at least three of the possible five games in order to progress. For each of the first
three games, each team in the clash will nominate a different individual athlete. The athletes
from games one, two, and three may be renominated for games four and five, which are
optional. As a result, a single athlete is limited to two games in a single competition.

As the first-ever worldwide EA SPORTS FIFA Online esports competition, the EACC debuted in
2014 as the EA SPORTS FIFA Online 3 Spearhead Invitational. In 2015, it changed into the
Asian Cup, and in 2016, it became the EA Champions Cup. Since then, it has twice a year
brought together the top FIFA Online 4 teams for a competition to crown an Asian champion.

The semi-finals and the grand finals will take place on August 21, 2022, and teams advancing to
the final stage will battle for whooping prize money of USD 100,000. In order to provide fans
with engaging content and thorough coverage of the competitions, ONE Esports will also work
with EA. On the ONE Esports website and on all of its social media outlets, the content will be
published and accessible in local languages.
