First-person shooter Back 4 Blood was created by Turtle Rock Studios and released by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment in 2021. For Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, it was released on October 12, 2021.
Since it was developed by some of the original Left 4 Dead team members and incorporates several key gameplay elements, the game was marketed as the series' spiritual successor. These elements include a strong emphasis on cooperative teamwork and an AI system known as the "Game Director" that dynamically modifies the environment, alignment of enemies, items, and obstacles in response to players' progress and behavior.

While Turtle Rock Studios isn't quite prepared to say when we can anticipate the upcoming addition for the zombie co-op game Back 4 Blood, the creators got a little cheeky on Twitter and gave us a sneak preview of it. They have also essentially confirmed that it will be Act 5 and that the Cleaners will face off against a doomsday cult. Over the past few weeks, Turtle Rock has been dribbling us bits of information regarding the upcoming Back 4 Blood expansion. For instance, Act 5 will bring us the bear trap, which will be available soon. However, the most recent tweet also displays what appears to be a stronghold for a cult, complete with crucified bodies and bonfires lit outside to fend off any door-to-door salespeople or trick-or-treaters.

The studio claims, "We'd love to confirm the release date for our Expansion 2, but we need a little more time." It's been like a cult around here because of the new update, and some of us are so excited that we're acting like children. The final clause's intentionally capitalized "Act" and the number "5" gives a pretty clear indication of what to expect in the second expansion.

Three brand-new cards that will be included in Back 4 Blood soon have already been revealed by Turtle Rock. The skill Fill 'Em Full Of Lead, the Experimental Stun Gun ability, and the Crippling Frequency utility are all available. The first two of them have activation charges that must be paid in certain ammo types; for example, Crippling Frequency requires 30 pistol/SMG ammo to activate, while Experimental Stun Gun requires 30 rifle ammo. Back 4 Blood Act 5 will undoubtedly be explored further in the nearish term.
