A new first-person shooter game called Overwatch 2 is being created and released by Blizzard Entertainment. The 2016 hero shooter Overwatch's sequel aims to introduce permanent cooperative modes while maintaining a shared environment for player-versus-player (PvP) games. A significant alteration in PvP was the reduction of team numbers from six to five, which necessitated the reworking of some characters. On October 4, 2022, Overwatch 2 will be made available for early access on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4. Complete cross-platform play will be available.

Strange Bastion unit, once a front-line combatant in the terrible Omnic Crisis, now travels the globe, captivated by nature but apprehensive of scared humanity. Bastion robot units, originally designed for peacekeeping, have the rare ability to quickly transform into an assault-cannon mode. However, they turned against their human creators during the Omnic Crisis, making up the majority of the omnics' rebel army. Nearly all of them were destroyed or dismantled when the situation was resolved. Bastion units continue to represent the atrocities of the war today.

In the final stages of the war, one special Bastion unit suffered catastrophic damage and was forgotten for over ten years. It rusted away in a dormant state, exposed to the elements as nature gradually reclaimed it. The robot sat motionless, seemingly unconcerned with the passage of time, covered in roots and vines, on which little animals had built their nests. That is until it suddenly reactivated one fateful day. Instead of engaging in a fight, it showed a strong curiosity about the natural environment and its people. On a war-torn planet, this curious Bastion unit set out to explore its surroundings and figure out why it was there. Even though "Bastion" often gives the impression of being gentle—even harmless—its fundamental combat programming kicks in when the unit senses danger, using its whole arsenal to take out whatever it considers being a threat. Conflicts with the few humans it has met as a result have caused it to avoid inhabited places in favor of the wild, unexplored parts of the globe.

In Overwatch 2, Bastion receives a new grenade choice, and as of the most recent beta build, you can use that grenade to super-jump into areas that Bastion previously couldn't access. The method was uncovered by content producer McMagicMarv, and the video that follows shows it in use. You throw a grenade straight up into the air, and then just as the weapon's cooldown resets and the explosion touches the ground, you fire another grenade at your feet. It's an easy maneuver, but the timing is quite precise. You can fly through the air to previously inaccessible places with just one large double boom. Only after the June 28 debut of the new beta was this innovative piece of movement technology made possible. Bastion's grenade's cooldown has been lowered from ten to eight seconds, as stated in the patch notes, which is just enough time to execute the trick.

Bastion could gain a significant advantage by entering unexpected new spaces, but the fact that this tactic calls for eight seconds of staying nearly motionless definitely restricts its adaptability. Players appear to think it's generally quite cool at the moment, and they're hoping it stays in the game unless there are any further significant exploits.
